Back by popular demand! This month’s Evening Meditation will be a vibrationally invigorating Gong “bath” led by healer, yogi, and beloved ISD family member Rosemary Peters.
Let your soul be lifted and transformed by the lusciously enveloping sound of the symphonic gong. This meditation begins with ancient yogic breathing techniques, or pranayama. You will then be guided into a state of deep relaxation with the gong. The gong, known as an instrument of transformational power, engulfs your entire body with total sound bringing you back to optimum health and balance. The OM tone of the gong creates total silence within.
Gong meditations, a type of Sound therapy, have been around for thousands of years as a way of healing.
“The Gong is the first and last instrument for the human mind, there is only one thing that can supersede and command the human mind, the sound of the Gong. It is the first sound in the universe, the sound that created this universe. It’s the basic creative sound. To the mind, the sound of the gong is like a mother and father that gave it birth. The mind has no power to resist a gong that is well played.”
